A Christian Church AGAINST California's Proposition 8

Even while the legal battle begins to heat up over Proposition 8, there is some confusion about whether it is in force or not right now.

According to an Associated Press storypublished by 365Gay.com November 14, some County Clerks were still issuing a few licenses until instructed otherwise. California Attorney General Jerry Brown has said in several published legal documents that all marriages which were contracted before Prop 8 passed will remain legally valid, but of course that toowill liekly be litigated.

The bottom line is uncertain, and we are awaiting a definitive word from the courts.  But if you pulled a valid Marriage License before November 4, and have not had a civil (or religious) ceremony or had witnesses and officiant sign your license, call us immediately:  (323) 667-1212

Pastor Dan Hooper is willing to officiate immediately and file the license for recording with the Los Angeles County Recorder/Registrar's Office.
